The Lydia Woods Duo

The Lydia Woods Ensemble is a Newcastle Wedding Jazz Duo fronted by the talented vocalist Lydia and performs primarily as a duo with pianist David Mabbott.

Their repertoire covers a wide variety of jazz, soul and pop; from the jazz and blues standards of Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Nina Simone, through Otis Redding and Van Morrison, to the modern classics of Norah Jones, Jamie Cullum and Adele. The Lydia Woods Jazz Duo are a professional, high quality band that provide the perfect music and atmosphere for any event.

In addition to the duo, Lydia and David also perform regularly as a larger ensemble; this varies from a three to five-piece band, consisting of some of the North-East’s most talented instrumentalists.
