"We chose The Gatenbys to play at our wedding at Middleton Lodge in April, and honestly can’t thank them enough.

We were quite particular about the music on the day and spent a lot of time trawling through show reels online, and then we came across The Gatenbys who were the exact vibe we were looking for. They had the perfect mix of pop and indie songs in their repertoire from the 60s to now. We hated the idea of a "traditional" wedding singer!

On the night, they played two hour long sets, including our first dance song live, and had the dance floor full for the entire night. They even played a special request that wasn’t on their set list but was a favourite of mine (the bride).

John, the lead singer, also performed an acoustic set during the day which was also exactly what we wanted.

We loved the battle of the band events you organise as it's so much better hearing bands/singers live before booking.

Lastly we want to thank Hattie for playing our ceremony and drinks reception at short notice, the amount of guests who have commented on how beautiful her voice was is unbelievable. Her version of Mumford and sons that she sang me down the aisle to was honestly one of the best versions I've ever heard. She had me in tears before I'd even set off and made our ceremony so personal to us and we will forever be grateful ????
