Groove Lounge are not just another acoustic act - the Groove Lounge repertoire consists solely of dance, club and R & B club hits!
Groove Lounge is an exciting new ‘super duo’ formed by two of the North East’s most respected musicians. With over 20 years collective experience on the live music circuit, Andrew and Kerry founded Groove Lounge in early 2016 through a mutual love of classic dance and R & B.
The decision to avoid the the usual ‘standards' that most acoustic acts perform seems to have paid off, as Groove Lounge have really struck a chord with audiences across the North East. As most of the set is 90’s based, clients have commented that the set is like ‘reliving their youth’, and hearing these songs that are fondly remembered in nightclubs played in a laid back style makes a perfect backdrop for wedding receptions and parties.
All songs have been skilfully arranged by Andrew, a professional session guitarist and full time musician. This is the perfect backdrop for the incredible vocal talent of Kerry, who’s impressive range and effortless control has amazed crowds on classics by incredible vocalists such as a Beyonce, Jess Glynn and Robin S.
The Groove Lounge repertoire is also the perfect accompaniment for chilled cocktail bar environments, nightclubs (as a warm up for DJ’s) and corporate events. Whilst Groove Lounge are comfortable playing in the background, more often that not audiences can’t resist dancing!
